The Art of Flight. I have been holding off on blogging about this film because the internets is pretty heavy with hype about the release, but when I first saw That's It, That's All from Brainfarm, it changed my perception of how cinematography could convey how exhilarating an experience could be (in an epic, breathtaking, stopping-of-the-heart Planet Earth kind of way...) especially when seen through the eyes of someone, or many, who have intense passion and respect for the sport, the art and the story.

I am a person who isn't particularly blessed with the gift of athleticism (or consistent coordination for that matter). Any progress that has been made over the years was due to constant vigilance, hard work and mad training. That being said, I still have madmiration for the athletes at the top of their game in snowboarding/skating/skiing etc (The basement is rife with stacks of Photo Annuals dating back to my junior high school days...oh, the memories)....a transworld of sports otherwise branded as X. Aside from being prime athletes and doing the dance in the mountains or on the streets, many of these individuals, in their off hours, are working on honing their craft on canvas - canvas being whatever medium that they choose...As an innocent bystander, it is pretty unreal to watch what can unfold when a community unwaveringly supports, encourages and pushes its members to follow their passions, producing better and more honest work.Directed by Curt Morgan
